Abstract

The article examines the main trends in the activities of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Moldova, their roles and places in public life in the republic. Particular attention is paid to the involvement of NGOs in the political process, which contradicts the main purpose of such organizations as the leading element of civil society, designed to defend the interests of the main segments of the population in relations with the state. Ultimately, this leads to the rebirth of NGOs, which become a convenient tool in the political struggle.
