RUSSIA'S POLICY TOWARDS COMPATRIOTS ABROAD: DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL

Abstract
The article analyzes the policy of the Russian Federation regarding compatriots abroad on the basis of the typology of measures to attract the diaspora proposed by A. Gemlin. The author considers Russia’s cooperation with compatriots abroad in three main areas: mobilization measures, measures to grant rights and measures to impose duties on representatives of compatriots abroad.
