TO THE ISSUE OF IRAN’S PRIORITIES IN THE SOUTH CAUCASUS IN THE CONTEXT OF REGIONAL TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS PROJECTS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of transport and logistics policy of Iran in the South Caucasus region. Particularly, were reviewed the factors influencing the formation of Iran’s priorities in connection with the “North – South” ITC and the “West – East” ITC, the main priorities of Iran’s transport and logistics policy in the South Caucasus region in the context of intensifying relations with the EAEU, India and China, as well as the alignment of geopolitical forces in the region after the 44-day war in Nagorny Karabakh. Also, Iran’s initiative to implement the “Persian Gulf – Black Sea” ITC project is being considered in the context of the current geopolitical situation in the region and in connection to other transport and logistics projects in the South Caucasus region.
