В статье автор исследует взгляды представителей важнейшего направления экономической мысли – меркантилизма – на проблему выбора наиболее эффективной экономической политики. Протекционизм свою теоретическую и практическую идентичность получил в период расцвета меркантилизма. Он сформировался как комплекс динамично развивающихся идей и концепций, обслуживающих стратегию на сохранение и обеспечение национальных экономических интересов. Когнитивная и практическая эволюция протекционизма способствовала выработке системы мер государственного регулирования национальной экономики, далеко не ограничивающегося мерами контроля над внешней торговлей.
In the article, the author explores the views of representatives of the most important direction of economic thought – mercantilism – on the problem of choosing the most effective economic policy. Protectionism received its theoretical and practical identity during the heyday of mercantilism. It was formed as a complex of dynamically developing ideas and concepts serving the strategy for the preservation and provision of national economic interests. The cognitive and practical evolution of protectionism contributed to the development of a system of measures for state regulation of the national economy, far from being limited to measures of control over foreign trade.
